Bridger and Savannah wanted unconventional, so we filmed a pre shoot in the Charcoal Loft. No first look, just them together and lots of time to experiment. I did go experimental on this wedding and I love how it turned out. It’s great when couples want to introduce fresh ideas into the mix. Weddings can easily fall prey to certain conventions, so having some newness is always great. Makes things personal for the couple because they were involved on some level.

Savannah is also a crazy talented photographer – her work is top notch. And Bridger, well I don’t know what he does really. I just know he works out a lot – he’s a fit dude.

Their LDS wedding was at the Draper Utah Temple with a reception to follow in their backyard. Her father Blaire is a famous sculptor and his work is really inspiring. They have a sculpture of Amelia Earhart in the yard and it’s just, wow. Here’s his website –

And if you need a wedding photographer in Utah (or anywhere really), Heather Nan is one of my faves. I think she pushes everyone to be better at what we do. She has a nice pace to how she works. She takes the time she needs. It’s refreshing.
